Gjilan, February 2, 2009 – The Minister of Energy and Mining Justina Shiroka-Pula, accompanied by the Minister of Community and Return Sasha Rashiq, Gjilan Municipal Leader Qemajl Mustafa, Vice-leader Sërgjan Jovanoviq and the KEK JSC Acting Director Arben Gjukaj, today held a meeting with the inhabitants of the serbian village Stanishor and villages around.
The aim of this meeting was the discussion of finding a better solution for the inhabitants of the serbian villages Stanishor, Kufc, Makresh,Strazhe and Draganc for entering in the paying bill system of the energy, in the way that KEK JSC could connect them with the electricity line that was disconnected a few days ago.
The representatives of the village Stanishor in front of the Institutional Leaders had specified the energy electricity on this area as alarming because of the disconnection of the electricity made by KEK JSC for more than one week and of some other villages also with the majority of serbian inhabitant. This is the reason they wanted to meet the leaders of MEM, Gjilan Municipality and KEK JSC.
Minister Pula said to the serbian inhabitants she feels sorry it came to the disconnection, the electricity disconnection for more than one week and that is why she came to talk to them and find a beter solution for this problem.
She demands from the serbian inhabitants to response in positive way the Government’s good will, respectively Ministry of Energy and Mining by accepting the electric meters and starting to regularly pay the bill of the energy from January 2009. While KEK JSC would connect the energy electricity system of the village within the day. Otherwise, Minister Pula warned the inhabitants of village Stanishor, that if they don’t start to pay the energy electricity bills according the agreement, they would again disconnect them from the energy electricity. According her, all the consumers of the energy electricity should be treated equally regardless of the nationality.
The Minister of Community and Return, Sasha Rashiq appealed the serbian inhabitants to pay the energy bills promising them that the social cases will be treated individually from the Government. He thanks the Minister Pula for the good will she showed for solving this problem and promised that the Department he leads will give its contribution on this direction.
Meanwhile, Gjilan Municipality Leader Qemajl Mustafa greeted the Government commitment and promised the municipality help to improve the billing collection on these localities.
The representatives of the village Stanishor and the Government and local Government Institutional Leaders had reached an agrement according to which agrement, KEK JSC would connect them with the energy electricity within the day on this location, while all the house keeping must pay an advance of 15-20 euros within a week, during which will proceed the meter perusal also. Otherwise will behave same as with the other consumers.
